ForeFront research
Leading research on neurodegenerative disorders

Neurodegenerative diseases are becoming increasingly prevalent in our ageing population. They have a devastating impact on those affected and their families and place a huge economic and social impact on our society. At Forefront, our research groups work together to improve services offered to those affected, enhance support for carers and offer hope through clinical trials and the development of novel treatments.

ForeFront investigates a broad range of dementia and movement disorders, along with healthy ageing. Our focus is improving the diagnosis, care and treatment of patients with neurodegenerative disease, as well as understanding the underlying causes of the diseases to develop new ways to diagnose and treat them
ForeFront is associated with clinics across Sydney that offer care and specialist services for patients with dementia, movement disorders, motor neuron disease and neurosleep diorders. These clinics offer diagnostic and symptom management, as well as provide opportunity to become involved with our research teams to help treat these disease
Our Forefront research program brings together a unique group of internationally recognised leaders in the fields of basic molecular science through to clinical translation with the aim for early detection methods and treatment of these neurodegenerative diseases
